User Calculation

AvantGard Trax verifies the number of named and concurrent users. If more than the licensed amount of users tries to access AvantGard Trax they are denied access until a currently active user ends his session. Under normal circumstances, the amount of concurrent users and named users will be about equal as it is advised to give every person his own user log in. This allows to track back changes to the individuals who made them.

Calculation Meaning
Named Users A named user is a user who can be linked to a security profile. There does not have to be somebody working with AvantGard Trax as this user. It only has to exist with the properties set to “active” in the configuration. AvantGard Trax counts the number of active non-system users and compares this with the setting in the license file.
Concurrent This is the amount of users who are using the application at the same time. The system user is counted as a concurrent user when he is active but not when the maximum number of concurrent users has been met before he logged in.
