Field | Contents |
---|---|
Entity | This is the entity to which this configuration will apply. Only one con- figuration per entity is possible. |
Data ownership en- abled | When this field is set to true, data ownership will be enabled on this entity. Please refer to the configurator guide. In brief, data owner- ship allows you to split data access between organizational entities. |
Audit capable | This is a system setting to determine if the entity is audit capable. Audit can only be activated if this property is true |
Audit enabled | If set to true, changes to this entity will be recorded in audit records |
Change approval | Change approval can be off, 4-eyes or 6-eyes. This means that data modifications are accepted at once, only after review by another person or after review of two people. For more information on change approval, please refer to the configurator guide. In order to use change approval, data audit must be enabled. |
Communication en- abled | When activating the communication enabled option, a link is laid be- tween the communication information and the business object (payment, envelope, message,... A Communication History tab will appear in the details screen of the business object, containing communication information (Incoming and Outgoing) of that particular business object. A view button is provided to show more details of this communication. The link between the communication information and the business object is also available on the communication object itself where the corresponding business object is shown in the Business Entity tab showing the business entity and its unique identifier. |
Visible | The visible field determines if this entity is available for the query builder. If an entity is visible it is possible to create queries on it, otherwise it will not appear in the drop down list of available entities in the query builder. |

Table 42 Entity Configuration
Enabling Data Ownership
In order to enable data ownership on an entity, check the data ownership enabled checkbox on the entity configuration screen for that inventory.
Enabling Audit
In order to enable audit on an entity, check the audit data action checkbox on the entity configuration screen for that inventory, provided that it is audit capable.
By default, audit is enabled for 7 entities:
- System.User
- System.User Group Membership
- System.User Identifier
- System.Data Owner Membership
- System.Certificate
- System.User Profile
- Reporting.Reporting User Profile
Enabling Change Approval
In order to enable change approval on an entity, make sure it is audit capable, check the audit data action checkbox on the entity configuration screen and select 4- or 6-eyes change approval for that inventory. Entities with parent-child relations are automatically enabled/ disabled for these options together. Do note that change approval may never be activated without audit as the audit records are necessary to determine the actual change which is approved. (take special care with EBICS entities, as it is technically possible to have them set to change approval with audit missing, so it is necessary to verify that all components which are logically grouped together to have the same change/audit properties.)
